We have been blessed as a church to have the gifts of Simon Parr who has enabled us to broadcast our Sunday 10 am Service all through lock-down and as the congregation have begun to return to the building.

I have been told on several occasions, especially by the more vulnerable members of the congregation, that this has been their lifeline during lock down. Although some of you have been able to experience worship, through streaming, from other churches and indeed the Cathedral, for some their link to St. Botolph’s Church is central to their lives and faith.

Simon is one man and needs the help of others to maintain this vital service: like anyone else he needs time with his family and has only been able to snatch a couple of Sundays since lock down has begun.

We need volunteers who are willing to give up one Sunday a month or maybe one every six weeks if we have enough volunteers, to operate the multi-media and streaming service from the church. If we do not have the volunteers, we cannot commit to services being streamed every week and especially over Christmas. The services will already be prepared in advance by Simon, turning up on the day is what is required.
